Words cannot explain how much I love this song. The beat, the flows, the imagery in the video are all just wonderful. I mean, when's the last time you saw mountains and beaches in a rap video that weren't strewn with barely clothed video models? It's simplicity at its best; it's just rappers rapping in their street clothes in regular-ass locations. Though I was a wee lass when this single was released, I get the feeling that rappers in the 90s weren't feeling themselves as heavy as they are now. These guys were just normal dudes who happened to rap. They weren't making a whole lot of money, but they were doing what they loved to do and having a good time as well. It's evident from the video that they weren't all that flashy, but were stuntin' with what they did have. I think we could all take a cue from backpack rappers of yesteryear. It's a recession folks, and ballin' on a budget is the new Black.
