My friend Dekota is one of the most stylish dudes I know. He used to work at American Apparel (how hip is that?) and is always coming up with ways to switch his style up. Tonight, I went to see him model in a fashion show and decided that I would surprise him by jacking his swag a little bit. I wore a bow tie.
Personally, I think bow ties on women (and men, of course) are a good look, even in casual settings. They add an air of sophistication to even the most dull button ups. Now, I'm not saying that I think bow ties are ok all the time. Don't go out there wearing a tie with no collar under it a la Chippendales, 'cause that is not cute.

During the day, I went shopping with a few friends and picked up a black 60's button- up from a local vintage/junk/punk clothing store and wore it with a vintage bow tie that I got from the same place for free on accident (I was going to put a $3 bow tie on my debt card and the lady said it wasn't worth it. They get charged $1 every time someone uses a card to buy something. WTF?). Check it out.
